International charity, ActionAid UK, and Festival Republic, return for the second year with their innovative live comedy gig “Stand Up With Women”, in support of women and girls’ rights around the globe. Headlined by some of our finest and funniest comedians, such as Jo Brand and Rosie Jones, the event will take place on Thursday 19 January at comedy club 21Soho.
After a successful virtual show in 2021 the event is back in person at 21Soho in London. Tickets go on sale 24 November 2022 and are expected to sell out fast. Confirmed artists include Jo Brand, Charlie George, Kemah Bob, Rosie Jones, Shazia Mirza, Ola Labib and Thanyia Moore will host on the night.
All these acts have joined forces to highlight the fact that violence against women remains a serious issue across the world, with one in three women experiencing violence or abuse during their lifetimes. All the money raised from this event will go to support ActionAid’s vital work, helping to end violence and fight poverty so that all women, everywhere, can create the future they want.
The event will also be live-streamed online - so if comedy fans can’t make it in person, they can still enjoy this brilliant show. It’s a great way to bring in the new year and get over the January blues with comedy and laughter!

“After hosting Stand Up With Women virtually in 2021 it is an honour to have the opportunity to perform in person for ActionAid’s second comedy night.
The statistics for gender-based violence are truly shocking and no woman should have to live in fear. But with ActionAid's support, women and girls are building a new world – one that’s safe and equal. A world in which no woman lives in fear of violence and buying a ticket to this event is a brilliant way for you to stand with them.”

“I am really excited to be performing again at ActionAid’s Stand Up With Women comedy event.
I am proud to be supporting the great work ActionAid does to ensure women and girls across the world are free from harm. I also think we could all do with a laugh to kick start 2023 and what better way to do it!”
