Palestinians inspect a mosque destroyed in strikes on one of Gaza City's refugee camps.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza and Lebanon has become more catastrophic than ever. The killing of civilians in both countries – including a devastating number of children – is unprecedented.

It is estimated that 5% of Gaza’s population has been killed injured or is missing since the conflict began, while more than 2,400 people in Lebanon have been killed

The effects on communities, particularly women and children, that are already struggling with poverty and displacement have been devastating.

Hospitals are struggling to cope with the influx of sick and injured people, refugee camps are at capacity, and necessities like food, water and medical care are scarce

ActionAid is working with local partners to assess what is needed and respond with essential supplies.

But we need your support.

Money alone won’t solve this issue, but it will help provide people with the supplies they urgently need.

What is ActionAid doing to help?

ActionAid is working with local partners in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon.

In Gaza, we have reached over 236,960 people with humanitarian supplies. An additional 558,206 people have also been supported with healthcare services by our partner Al-Awda Hospital.

We have also been supporting internally displaced people in Gaza. We've distributed winterisation kits which include tents and blankets, and also dignity kits which include vital items like toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, and towels.

In Lebanon, ActionAid is responding in Bekaa, Beirut, and northern regions, focusing on emergency shelters and immediate needs like mattresses, hygiene kits, blankets, food parcels, and water.

Where your money goes

90% of your donation will go directly to the Gaza-Lebanon Appeal.

10% of your donation will be retained for ActionAid’s Emergency Action Fund which will only be used for ensuring we are prepared and able to respond quickly and more effectively to future emergencies and crises.

If the total amount raised for this appeal exceeds the funds needed for the response, ActionAid will transfer the remaining balance to the Emergency Action Fund. All Gift Aid claimed on donations will fund ActionAid’s work across the world, wherever the need is greatest.
