On International Day of the Girl 2022, we're celebrating the incredible potential of girls around the world.
This is the 10th anniversary of Day of the Girl - a chance to recognise all the progress that's been made for girls' rights in the last decade, but also an opportunity the highlight how much further there is to go.
Join us as we raise awareness of the obstacles that girls all over the world face. Here are five ways we can shine a light on the importance of education for girls.

Support on social media
Show your support for girls’ education on social media! Tag us at @actionaiduk and tell us why you think it's important that every girl gets the education that is her right.
-
Appreciate the girls around you!
Take the time to check in with the girls and women in your life and help to empower them. You can even host an event or throw a party to recognise and celebrate girls' achievements.

For just 65p a day you can ensure girls can continue to stay in school. When you sponsor a girl you can help us ensure girls continue their education through ActionAid's catch-up classes and other projects that support girls into and keep girls from dropping out of school.
